Huayi is the Esplanade's premier festival for Chinese cultural performances, including plays, stand-up comedy and musical troupes. For 2025, the Year of the Snake, I was approached to create a key visual that would exude the joy and vibrancy of this annual celebration of Chinese culture. In this scene, you, the viewer, sit back and watch the spectacle of the performers in their floating huts, while the guardian of the lake watches over them serenely.​​​
